And some relationships—like those we share with Travis Frederick and Jeff Heath—become more than just client partnerships… they become family.

As former teammates and great friends of our co-founder Tyrone Crawford, Travis and Jeff aren’t just legends from their time with the Dallas Cowboys—they are men of character, loyalty, and strong family values, the same foundation that defines everything we do at Crawford Signature Spaces.

Teammates Then, Family Now

During their years in Dallas, Tyrone lined up across the trenches from Travis Frederick, where iron sharpened iron in daily battles that pushed both men to greatness. And on the same side of the ball, he shared a brotherhood in the defensive backfield with Jeff Heath, where grit, heart, and hustle were on full display every game.

But football was just the start.

Off the field, we had the honor of helping Travis and Jeff bring their Texas homes to life—not just in structure, but in spirit. When you’re not from here and your profession moves you from state to state, all you want is to feel at home, and we made it our mission to make that happen.

From backyard renovations and turf installations to personalized outdoor designs, we took great care to infuse their projects with subtle elements that reminded them of the places they hold close—Wisconsin for Travis and Michigan for Jeff. The result was more than landscaping. It was a feeling—a connection to home.

Backyards That Reflect Their Roots

For Travis and his family of five, life has now come full circle. They’re building their dream home in Wisconsin, surrounded by the landscape and memories that shaped them. The same goes for Jeff and his family of four, who are now constructing their forever home in Michigan, back where it all began.

But during their years in Texas, their backyards became a sanctuary—spaces designed for peace, joy, and nostalgia, where stepping outside meant stepping into something familiar. From the scent of pine to the design elements inspired by the Midwest, those spaces weren’t just for entertainment… they were for belonging.

The Three Pines: A Symbol That Connects Us All

At Crawford Signature Spaces, we often say the Three Pines mean everything to us. These trees, native to the north, surprisingly thrive in Texas soil—a reminder that no matter where you’re from, you can grow, flourish, and plant deep roots somewhere new.

The Three Pines represent the bond between the creator, the client, and the land. They symbolize strength, legacy, and unity—and it’s a true honor that both Travis and Jeff proudly wear our signature Three Pines hats, given during recent visits back to Texas. Their support from day one and their continued belief in us means the world.
